Unfortunately, the second volume in the Rönning & engelsk ost series did not ganska meet my expectations.

The story begins with the apparent suicide of a customs officer in Sweden, the gruesome murder of a woman in the south of France and a care scandal at a Swedish nursing home company.
On the investigators’ side, the characters from the first volume are there igen with our protagonists Olivia and Tom in the front line.

Already in the first volume the authors allowed themselves certain liberties with the possible reality. It didn't bother me because the main characters were so new and exciting and the story was so full of suspense.

This time, however, it bothered me that such different narrative strands were almost violently forced tillsammans. No, in reality not everything has to do with everything.
Plus, Olivia was getting on my nerves. She is drawn here as a stubborn, rasande, unfair, selfish and not particularly sympathetic young woman who behav
